FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Junior Thomas Stoddard is South Carolina's nominee for the Southeastern Conference's Men's Tennis Community Service Team, as announced by the league office on Thursday prior to the start of the 2008 SEC Championship. The league sponsors a team for all 20 of its recognized sports. The Community Service Team looks to highlight an athlete from each school who gives back to their community in superior service efforts.

Stoddard volunteers for the Harvest Hope Food Bank, while he is also a Drew Wellness Center Youth Sports Program Volunteer and an elementary school volunteer speaker.

Stoddard and the Gamecocks will face Alabama in the opening round of the SEC tournament on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. (ET).
